Cybersecurity Audit and Recovery Services

Intechtel not only offers proactive monthly cybersecurity plans but also provides critical support in the event of a cyberattack. We understand how devastating cybercrime can be, often leaving you unsure of the full extent of the damage. Our team conducts comprehensive audits to assess data loss and damage, then develops and implements a recovery plan to get your business operational as quickly as possible. To prevent future attacks, we deploy a proven cybersecurity strategy that integrates the services listed below.

Intechtel Cybersecurity Services

Managed Cybersecurity Antivirus Service:

With nearly a million new threats to your computers and networks being created each day, it is critical to have the most up-to-date protection available. Antivirus protection is intended to protect your computer or device from cyber threats and attacks. Intechtel uses an advanced antivirus strategy that utilizes predictive behavior recognition technology coupled with the almost limitless processing power of cloud computing. Outdated antivirus detection tends to be ineffective and easily overwhelmed by modern malware threats. Unlike with conventional antivirus protection, malware and zero-day threats are stopped at the second of attack. Also, no more remembering to update antivirus software. Regularly scheduled updates are cloud-based and only take about 30 seconds, never impacting device performance.

Endpoint detection and Response (EDR):

Going beyond the typical signature based antivirus/antimalware is something called EDR which differs from AV in that it integrates realtime behavioral analysis with automated response and remediation tools to provide a deeper layer of security for a computer that goes beyond, but works in concert with, traditional Anti Virus software/services. While AV software might tell you that you have a virus and what it did with it, EDR goes a step further and provides powerful forensic tools that helps show the attack vector that was exploited, what processes within the system were altered, and what user accounts were used to perform or attempt to perform the attack. This is enormously helpful to us in determining the “what, why, and how” of a breech, and is a component of our managed services security stack as well as being available ala carte with our managed antivirus and managed DNS services.

Managed DNS Security:

Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR)

Identity Threat Detection and Response provides security for identity infrastructure such as user accounts on Microsoft (Like email, Active Directory, Entra/Azure AD) against exploitation or takeovers by threat actors. ITDR does this by looking at a variety of info such as the users normal behavioral patterns, suspicious login attempts, login attempts at a place that would be impossible to travel to within a given timeframe and more. ITDR can automatically lock down accounts that may be compromised, and notify IT personnel so that the threat can be remediated. In many cases this remediation is automatic in order to prevent damage to the account or tenant. This is even more critical when a user has a high level of permissions such as an administrator or global administrator. Attackers frequently target user identities, especially those with a high level of permissions, to gain initial access and then move laterally into other systems undetected. ITDR can also protect against token theft where an attacker can hijack a legitimate user session, bypassing Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) and gaining instant access to an account from something as innocuous as following a link in a phishing email.

Managed Security Operations Center (SoC)

A Managed Security Operations Center (SoC) is a dedicated team that provides continuous (24/7/365) monitoring, analysis, and remediation against cyber threats. These teams consist of highly specialized individuals in the field of cybersecurity with extensive experience both in the public and private sectors. When a detected threats escalates to a level that traditional antivirus and EDR deem especially serious, the SoC can take immediate and decisive action to protect the affected machine and all other systems on the network against the threat. This team will also typically work to expel the intruder and assist in remediation actions to ensure no further threats to the network remain. Intechtel Managed security and IT services include SoC monitoring by default.

Email Security / Filtering Services and Backups

Email is the front door to most threats these days and many attacks can be traced back to a malicious email that was opened or had an attachment downloaded. Email security filtering uses data analytics, behavioral analysis, and AI screening to identify and block potentially dangerous emails from ever reaching your inbox. These services can also block Business Email Compromise or impersonation by detecting that an outsider is attempting to lure internal users into thinking that they are a legitimate employee by spoofing their name or using a similar looking email address as a way to trick them into taking some action, clicking a link, or downloading a file. This service helps to reduce the human error factor by making sure these messages never make it to a users inbox in the first place. Email backups also take copies of emails and other cloud stored data such as that in OneDrive, Sharepoint, and teams so that you have a backup of this data in the event of a data loss, accidental, or intentional deletion.

Managed Firewall with IPS (Intrusion Prevention System):

Unlike the DNS security service Intechtel offers that is cloud-based, the firewall with IPS is installed on-location near the network server. This on-site firewall offers an additional layer of protection as it denies unauthorized access and malicious activities at the network level. IPS works by preventing unwanted traffic to reach it’s intended victim. Suspicious data packets are immediately dropped before they cause extreme damage to the network. Additionally, a firewall with IPS not only monitors network traffic but protects against intrusions that take place on the network itself. Managed firewalls with IPS are available as part of our managed security and networking offerings.

Ongoing Employee Training:

Even with the most advanced cybersecurity firm services, it is imperative that employees understand risks and defenses. If employees aren’t careful, they may unknowingly permit threats or cyberattacks. That’s where Intechtel’s hands-on and digital training come in. Intechtel can ensure that each employee learns and demonstrates an understanding of cybersecurity. This layer of protection is vital in any business with multiple employees. Regarding internal security, Intechel can create parameters and access barriers to lower risk from inside attacks.

Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR):

It should be said that no company can guarantee 100% protection against cyberattacks. Intechtel’s BCDR services are a set of processes that help a business continue operating after a cyberattack or major data loss. A main function of this service is ensuring proper back up data is stored and available should a natural or cyber disaster take place. This BCDR service is recommended to be used with cybersecurity services.
