Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course Modernizes Technology

The Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course was operating with outdated infrastructure that struggled to meet the needs of their day-to-day operations. They were dealing with unreliable WiFi, an aging analog paging system, and a legacy phone system that was difficult to manage and update—especially when seasonal schedules and events demanded frequent changes.

Network Infrastructure Overhaul - Rewired the facility with new cabling, removed legacy equipment, and installed a modern equipment rack to securely house all hardware.
Next-Gen Firewall –Deployed a business-grade firewall with intrusion prevention for enhanced security.
Wifi Network & Managed Switch - Implemented a fully managed switch and strategically placed enterprise-grade wireless access points to blanket the property in strong, consistent wireless coverage.
Managed IT Services & Onsite Support – Proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
Telecom Phone System Modernization – We installed a robust on-premise IP phone system featuring a custom auto attendant for seasonal and event-based changes, voicemail-to-email, time-based call routing, and ring groups. The system also supports HD voice using the G.722 codec and includes long-range cordless phones to ensure mobility throughout the pro shop.
Smart Paging System– Replaced analog horns with modern IP paging featuring zone-based control, volume customization per area, and seamless indoor/outdoor coverage.

The Outcome

The transformation was completed on time and on budget, just in time for the start of golf season. Staff can now roam the course without missing calls, guests experience better service, and the team has the tools they need to easily adjust communication as the seasons change. The result? A public course now operating with private club polish—thanks to a strong technology foundation built for the future.
